Centennial Kennels has been owned and operated by Barb Benson since 1989. Barb has extensive knowledge in the care of all kinds of animals. She uses this knowledge and applies it to Centennial Kennel.
Over the years Barb has always strived to provide a reasonably priced pet boarding facility while maintaining a safe and caring environment for your pets and the staff.
Lori is the heart, voice and face of Centennial Kennels. She has been with us since 2001.
Lori loves animals and strives to provide a professional and caring experience for both the owners and their pets. She is persistent about upgrading her knowledge of the animal care industry.
Amanda moved to the Seattle area with her husband and dogs in 2012. She currently has 2 dogs, a 10 year old Great Dane named Bjorn, and a 3 year old giant malamute named Appa who thinks everyone is a friend he hasn’t met yet.
Amanda enjoys being involved with multiple roles at the kennel. She enjoys being in charge of the website, and all aspects of marketing from social media to videography. Her favorite part is being hands on with your pets both in the office and throughout their stay.
Shannon is our evening and weekend receptionist & kennel tech. Shannon has lived in Maple Valley her whole life and has a passion for pets of all sizes and types! She grew up with horses, goats, & American Bulldogs. But, she also has a special place in her heart for the little guys.
Her first dog of her own was a Chihuahua named Sid. Shannon has 2 rescue cats, Bran & Osha, and a Mini Dachshund, Theon.
She has a passion for animals, art, & music. When she isn’t here you can usually find her at home with her furbabies, playing video games, watching videos, concert going, or training with Theon!
Sydney is one of our weekend receptionists and weekday techs. She grew up in Washington and has spent most of her life either outdoors, with animals, or both! Sydney has a spunky Pomeranian who knows he’s the king of the world and a Black Lab that begs to differ. When she’s not at work, she prefers to be hanging out with her family and dogs, four wheeling through muddy trails, or experimenting in the kitchen. Sydney has a special place in her heart for dogs and cats that take longer to warm up and she won’t quit until they are best friends.
Sydney is Pet CPR certified.
Rebecca has worked with dogs and cats her entire life. She’s been a groomer for 3 years and in the industry for 6 years. Her dog Roxi is the center of her world, and she loves making her 4 legged clients look and feel their best whenever they visit.

It takes many dedicated hands to walk, feed, and provide the care your pet deserves. Our Activities Team handles all playtime activities including, nature walks, potty breaks, and 1-on1- play. Our Kennel Technicians maintain your dogs living space, handle all feeding and medications, and prepare your pets belongings for their return home.
Emily has loved working with all animals big and small since she was a kid. She has 2 cats, 2 dogs and a Guinea pig named Milo.
She’s currently raising a pig for FFA named Tater!
When not at work you can catch her hanging out with friends or reading a good book.

Shelby grew up in Washington Dogs and cats have been a constant source of joy in her life.
Currently 2 dogs, a Pomeranian mix and a Yellow Lab. And a black cat who is an American shorthair mix! Shelby strives to make sure all animals feel as comfortable and loved as possible.
When not working she loves hanging out with her pets, family & friends or doing school work.
